Communion Policy<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Visitors and the Sacrament of Holy Communion<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion every Sunday.\u00a0 As this heavenly food can be taken to one\u2019s judgment (1 Cor. 11:28\u201330), and as the common reception of this food is a confession of doctrinal oneness (Acts 2:42; 1 Corinthians 11:26),\u00a0our congregation practices closed communion.\u00a0 Visitors who are confirmed members of a sister LCMS congregation, and who regularly attend the Lord\u2019s Supper at their home congregation, are asked to please announce to an usher or the pastor their intention to take the Sacrament before the worship service.\u00a0If you are visiting us from a different church, we respectfully ask that you refrain from taking the Sacrament when you visit us at worship.\u00a0 You are encouraged to speak to the pastor after the worship service if you are interested in communing with us in the future. If we cannot offer you the Sacrament today, we are not judging your personal faith. We are simply recognizing the reality that there is not at this time doctrinal agreement between our respective church bodies.
