As suggested earlier, we are looking into changing the altar lighting to match the paraments. You all know what the red lighting looks like. Here are some pictures of the proposed new lighting in white, purple, and green. The colors in these pics is at night with only altar lights, so in daylight with the rest of the lights on the colors will be muted somewhat (lighter/less intense).
Rather than purchase various colored bulbs (hard to find some colors) this consists of a white LED bulb and various plastic filters. We initially placed these filters directly on the LED bulbs but that will need to be changed. While the LED ‘s run cool enough to touch, we found the filter material will still warp at that temperature. We will mount the holder for the filter to hold them slightly above the bulb and so they are cooler and can be easily changed.
